Still here.

Hi y'all. Sorry for my recent disappearance. I took off to Mexico for a week with the fam and have since returned to face fall semester exams and a computer virus that I have not had time yet to fix (writing from a borrowed lap-top at the moment).

But Mexico was fantastic. Our cruise ship made three stops. First was Puerto Vallarta, which was absolutely beautiful. I could easily retire there some day. Then we pulled into Mazatlan, but didn't stick around. We were wisked away on a tour through some of the silver mining towns in the nearby mountains. The third stop was Cabo. Our time there was not nearly long enough. My brother and I took a nice horseback ride on the beach (the desert was literally 50 yards to our left) which was only marred by the evident whip scars on the horses... but then it was time to go.

Overall, we had a great time. I have some really neat pics to post when I can get 'hello' working. Just about any store you walked into handed you a free beer. I have to say, though, that the exploitation of children every where (especially in Mazatlan and one of the mining towns) was just sad.

Now I am home and studying for my Contracts exam that I have next week and finishing a paper. I thought, when I handed in my Relational Psychology portfolio to Rick back in May, '01, that I was done with papers. Why, oh why?

But I hope every one had a nice Thanksgiving. Ours was nice. I continue to be perplexed by my grandmother who insists on wearing a gray wig at all times - while praying that her own brown hair turns white... and the soy turkey was a bit cold by the time we sat down to eat... But those mashed potatoes were the best!

So many names.

I'm glad that the "mission" in Iraq is "accomplished" and that the "liberal media" is "making up" the deaths of FIFTY-EIGHT American soldiers this week.
And I'm glad the "liberal media" is laying off the fact that Bush waited until AFTER election day to get these boys killed...
What's wrong with this country?

The end?

Is this the end of Blog Collective? I hear swirling winds blowing through the emptiness.
Wrrsssshhhhhhhh...
